Two children beheaded in Central African Republic
At least two children have been beheaded in the Central African Republic and thousands more recruited as soldiers, the UN has said. A spokesperson for UNICEF said the region is experiencing “unprecedented violence against children.” The country was plunged into violence in March after a coalition of rebels named Seleka deposed President Francois Bozize.
