First victim of the Christchurch earthquake buried...
A five month old baby boy was the first of the victims of Christchurch's devastating earthquake to be laid to rest today - the first funeral and the death toll mounts to 148.
Dozens of family members and friends gathered at a small chapel for the funeral of baby Baxtor Gowland, who was sleeping peacefully in his bed until struck by falling masonary during the 6.3 magnitude EQ a week ago.
He later died in hospital. Inside the chapel a slideslow of the smiling infants photographs were reportedly flashed on a screen, as Sarah McLachlan's song "Angel" echoed sadly through the room.

So sad, Peter. We really feel for all in Christchurch.
It really is, and what I saw tugs at your heartstrings.
